Before I met Jess, I didn't have a specific direction and wasn't heading anywhere even though I could play simple tunes on the piano. There were some bad habits I had picked up as well, from my initial electone organ days. Jess has since shown me how much more I can do, including new rhythm patterns and improvisation on the piano, proper singing and voice techniques, and even some complicated but interesting jazz chords to spice up my playing. I never expected there to be so much more to learn, and after each lesson with her, I walk away happy with new knowledge. Now, I am enjoying myself being able to 自弹自唱 to pop songs which I like, and I think my true music journey has only just begun.

I am a busy working adult with zero experience with piano. I came to know Jess just to try to learn to play my favourite songs and I was thinking that I probably will give up after 1 month due to my lack of knowledge. Jess has been very patient, even during the weeks where I completely forget to practice a song. Due to her patience and ability to teach, I am able to play some of my favourite songs now. It is not too late to start learning piano even as a busy working adult. The lessons are interesting and relaxing which is a nice break from my stressful work. She has been great. I can't recommend her enough for someone who wants to start learning how to play.
